Course description:
This course will cover practical ideas for working with children with behavioural, emotional and learning difficulties in mainstream and learning support environments. It will also cover learning styles, whole brain learning, multiple intelligences and other educational and cognitive theories. Self esteem and concentration issues will be discussed along with ideas and inclusive themes for non-competitive and group projects. The themes and ideas presented are all easily integrated with SPHE curriculum strands.

Other topics include identifying children's strengths and learning styles, and class inclusion issues.

Description:
This course based on clinical observations and research will cover practical strategies and support for parents of children with AD/HD and Asperger’s Syndrome including concentration, behaviour issues, emotional balance and self-esteem.
