Tralee dyslexia seminar a huge success (04/03/10)
The first of the dyslexia seminars being run in Tralee Education Centre last night was a huge success. ImaginationGYM® was represented by Rosaleen Durkin (qualified primary teacher and clinical practitioner). Her seminar proved very popular with over 70 people in attendance.

ImaginationGYM® announces school training option (28/02/10)
ImaginationGYM® has just announced a new training option for the ImaginationGYM® training course for SNA's and the ImaginationGYM® training course for Teacher's. Our training courses can now be run on your school premises either during or after school hours, or as part of Staff Development Days. A minimum number of six teachers/ SNA's are required for the courses so in certain circumstances, it may be more beneficial for your school to arrange a treaining course in conjunction with other schools in your locality. A typical training course is six hours duration but this can be arranged to suit each schools needs. Contact us on 01 6753522 or email us to discuss your requirements further.

ImaginationGYM® - Dyslexia Seminars in Tralee (26/02/10)
Rosaleen Durkin is one of four professionals who will be speaking at the forthcoming seminars on dyslexia at the Education Centre in Dromthacker, Tralee. Rosaleen's seminar is the first in the series of four presentations and will take place on next Wednesday the 3rd of March. Rosaleen, a qualified primary teacher and clinical practitioner, will guide parents through preparing and supporting children with dyslexia in primary school. UK ImaginationGYM® consultant publishes two books (16/02/10)
UK ImagiantionGYM® consultant Mary Mountstephens has just published two books for the Practical Pre-School SEN Series. One is on dyspraxia and neuro-developmental delay and the other focuses on speech, language and communication. They are intended for practitioners or parents/ carers working with young children and are practical rather than theoretical. ImaginationGYM are running a summer in-service course for primary teachers in conjunction with The Gallery of Photography and Dublin Institute of Technology. The course titled "Practical digital media in the primary school classroom" runs from the 1st to the 7th of July at Dublin Institue of Technology, 31 East Essex Street, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 from 09:30 to 14:30 daily. Finnish Education Exhibition & Presentation (20/04/09)
Rosaleen Durkin tulee esittelemaan ImaginationGYM® menetelman kaytannossa. Rosaleen tulee kertomaan myos mielenkiintoisia asioita oppimisesta, ja miten alykkyytta voi kehittaa mielikuvituksen avulla.Vanhemmat (myos Suomikerhosta) ovat tervetulleita osallistumaan.

Rosaleen delivered a practical demonstration session of the ImaginationGYM® programs on Saturday last. The talk included practical ideas for parents to assist with integrated learning and creativity in home environments. The talk was very well attended by parents and their children. .

Finnish Education Exhibition & Presentation
We have been invited to give a presentation on ImaginationGYM® to the parents and staff of the Finnish School in Luther House, St. Finnians Church, Adelade Road, Dublin. This will take place in the 18th of April 2009 at one o' clock. Looking forward to meeting everybody there.

Finnish Education Exhibition & Presentation
ImaginationGYM® are taking part in and presenting at a one day Finnish Education Exhibition. The Exhibition is on Friday 21st of November in the Wanha Satama Centre in Helsinki. The presentation will given by ImaginationGYM® to 1,500 Education and Childcare professionals. We're a little bit nervous!

IKSEN Conference 2009
ImaginationGYM® have been invited to present at the IKSEN Conference 2009 in Co. Cork, Ireland. The theme of the conference is "Honouring the past, Transforming the future".

IKSEN Conference in Italy
ImaginationGYM® will be attending the IKSEN Conference in Lake Garda, Italy from 1st - 5th of October. Peter Blackbyrne and Rosaleen Durkin will be presenting their paper titled "Use of Imagination and Whole Brain Balance in Clinical, Educational and Home Settings". The tile of the Conference is "Living in the Midline - Maintaining a constant awareness of yourself and perceiving the world from an inner point of view".

ImaginationGYM® in Melbourne
ImaginationGYM® was presented to delegates at a conference in Melbourne, Australia (22nd - 24th August 2008) on "Relaxation to Stimulate the Imagination". The teacher delegates were able to view some of the relaxation techniques employed in ImaginationGYM® at work. One delegate said of the conference title, "This is a huge and increasing problem as children struggle to cope with stress".

Move to Learn Seminar
The 2008 Move to Learn Seminar (August 3rd to 10th) in Savusavu, Fiji has been a very successful experience for ImaginationGYM®. It was organised in conjunction with the University of Sydney. One of our representatives, Mary Mountstephen, was in attendance to present the ImaginationGYM® Methodology which was well received by attending delegates. Mary works with several universities on holistic approaches in Primary Education and is a neuro-developmental delay specialist. She also runs training courses for schools nationally and internationally in visualization and neuro-developmental delay.
