4. The ImaginationGYM Facilitators Guide

This is a detailed book (60 pages) designed for parents and child care workers who work in the family home or small extra curricula groups such as crèches, after school clubs, cubs, etc.  It is designed for those who want to learn more about ImaginationGYM® and how to use the Enchanted Forest CD and Activity Book more effectively.  There is also detailed section on adult usage and how parents can benefit from using the CD.

This guided imagination story brings you high into the sky.

As you drop the weights overboard from your special balloon, your problems go with them. Soon you are in a celestial heaven among the stars and planets. You meet some interesting people from neighbouring planets, which will really stretch your imagination!

The adventure encourages the child to expand their imagination beyond logic so that real creativity can flow in. This is started in the Enchanted Forest when they meet a fairy but it is greatly accelerated in The Magic Balloon, because they have to exist in an environment, which defies logic.

This helps breakthrough boundaries in imagination. It is particularly beneficial to aimless daydreamers as it takes their natural tendency and helps them put structure around it. It is equally helpful to the child that is over logical and confined in their imagination. This again helps the teacher identify particular learning patterns.

Activities also focus on other aspects of the planet, people, nations, geography but seeing them from the perspective of the universe, looking down rather than being immersed in their own social structure.
